First Day of School 2011-2012!
We had a great first day of school today! We played in centers, Met our PE and Spanish teachers, went to the playground, had snacks, ate lunch and took a nap. It was a very busy day but your children had a wonderful time! Enjoy these photos from the first day of school!

Last Day Splash Day!
I can't believe this year is finished. This was a wonderful class and I will have fond memories of everyone. We started the morning off with a Magician. He was so funny! Then we ended the year with a Splash! Enjoy these pics from splash day!

All About Art!
We have been having fun learning about different artists, including Monet, Warhol, Rodrigue, and Seurat in addition to types of art and art mediums in preparation for this Friday's art show. One thing that we have learned is that you can make art using so many different tools. Today we had so much fun making a mural with our feet! We can't wait for you to see all of our other art creations! PreK3's time to view the art show is 8:30-9:00 after morning meeting your children will be able to show you their art at this time.

Check out our Ocean Unit Projects!
We have had a great time learning about the ocean! We learned that the ocean has 3 zones, the midnight zone, the twilight zone, and the sunlight zone.
We then learned about animals that live in each zone. We made angler fish for the midnight zone, jellyfish for the twilight zone, and you helped your children make tropical fish for the sunlight zone. Our completed mural will be on display for our art show on April 15.
We learned how to tell if an ocean animal is a fish or not, fish live in the water, they breath using gills, and they have fins. They were excited to learn that a shark is a fish but crawfish and starfish are not fish.
We are going to wrap up the unit with a surprise ocean themed snack on Friday.
